Chart scale
On all Leisure Editions of Admiralty Charts there is a printed scale usually on a land area showing (on the one I am looking at) Sea miles and feet. Can you please explain to me how those scales... |

Portland Course Plotter
Along the long sides of a Portland Course Plotter is a scale in inches/units. Along the short sides is a metric scale. Does anyone know why they are there and how they are intended to be used? |
