I think you are being quite reasonable, also, many things can brake during an Atlantic crossing. We purchased our sailboat in grenada Caribbean and still here sailing it can take days or weeks to...

No we decided to keep our home as its an appreciating asset. Maybe if we decided to live and sail the Mediterranean we may reconsider.
