Re: Inverter for bluewater sailboat?

Re: Feature Requests

I'll give a plus one for mmsi based alarm.

I'd also love to be able to use a twenty buck FlightAware USB Radio to overlay flights on passages in the event I needed to signal for help.

Re: Best Blue Water 40 Ft. Boats from the 90's

Yeh, remind yourself of that compromise when you are caught in a storm. I have a clear preference for the T37's seaworthiness over the additional interior space and speed a Hunter gives you.

Re: Is December a good time to cross atlantic?

You definitely could use a copy of Jimmy Cornell's World Cruising Routes book aboard. Good luck! World Cruising Routes: 7th edition: 1000 Sailing Routes In All Oceans Of The World (World Cruising...

Re: Oceans missing piece. Adhd & Autism.

Start sailing now! Dinghy sailing at first would be best as it teaches you instinct and rapid response. Potential capsize and getting wet is a great motivator to learn quickly :-) Only look at the...

Re: A little help, please...

38 ft minimum? Try telling that to the hundreds cruising the world in a Tayana 37 :-D It's right in your price range. It's a Bob Perry design and there are even some Pilothouse versions out there....

Re: Favourite places to live on the hook

Good timing to head to the Chesapeake Bay on the East Coast of the USA. At least a couple of years of cruising all in protected water and all the anchorages you'd ever want! From UK right? Bay of...

Re: The Dream Has Died

Agreed. I don't pay for my therapy but it doesn't seem to detract from it's benefits. Therapy works in countries with single payer systems that are free at the point of use just fine.

Re: Cockpit clutter

My advice would be to simply change boats now you know more about what you'd like setup wise. Diesel inboard type maybe?

Re: About the Fisher 34 pilothouse ketch

Your friend needs to understand the difference between a Pilothouse sailboat and a Motor Sailor. The former gives you both. Compare a Fisher 37 with a Tayana 37 Pilothouse and you'll see what mean....

Re: Ubiquiti M2 is a piece of ...

There is a reset button on the bottom of POE adapter so you don't need to use the fiddly button on the bullet. Once you have it lit up, you'll love it. Keep at it and good luck.

You sound like someone who's whole concept of Socialism is defined by what you have been told by US corporate media.
