Our tracker is a good option if you want to "set and forget" with the two year battery life there is no need to hardwire it. It also can be positioned basically anywhere in or on your boat.

Our tracker runs on battery or can be hardwired, battery life on a sailboat with 30 minute pings runs about 2 years before needed to be changed.
