I got the wrench back but still can't figure out how to get the NMEA data. I can hear the audio from OpenPlotter SDR-AIS. In OpenCpn rtlsdr fails to open, I'm assuming because...

Thanks Guys,

I can get the GPS NMEA date without a direct serial connection. Now, on to the the rest of the NMEA data flows. Then the WIFI multiplexing to my water proof Droid Table.
