Ban Silicon anything on a boat. Sika [choices of a couple of different ones for different operations] is the best, adheres expands and contracts with the weather, paintable and with specific primers...

Worse story i heard was a guy who had a heart attack and died while up the masthead fixing a jammed halyard..A couple were on a Trans Atlantic crossing when it went bad.....
