I wanted to add here a few of the added costs that will come your way.

They will recommend a dripless stuffing box. I kept my old one for now cuz I just had it repaired but will probably go...

The Elco motor was $9k + 500 delivery. The batteries are $3k but I got dif batteries than what Elco recommended.

I'm not sure where I'd mount the outboard. I have a rudder so it would have to be off center, I think. Am open to suggestions re how to make that work.

So I love all the folks at the docks. It's wonderful cuz I am socially awkward in most settings, except on the boat. And since I am recently single, having folks around is really important to me now...
