Thanks Meindert, you mention somewhere that the number of sats in the message was 0, maybe this is the reason why the message was marked as invalid? (perhaps the plotter filters by min number of sats...

The bridge is internal functionality of the plotter, not an external unit, but perhaps even without a source it creates some conflicts, I already rest the setting but ill try to disable it completely.

I am just trying to cover all the variables, and sometimes someone with similar setup that encounter the same issue, can point to the right direction. I used many gps unit (in different instruments)...

Can the Simrad gps be faulty? perhaps its sends only the "Satellite in view" PGN but not the "Position data"?

Really great advice!
I checked with the compressor manual and it takes up to 2 hp, so we are good.
I like the idea with the tension spring, and it shouldn't be too complicated to implement....

In the previous engine the compressor was attached to the engine and now after it was re-powered by the po, it attached to the hull.

I have a volvo d2-40 engine,
some volvo dealer told me that placing the refrigerator compressor off the engine can cause damage to the engine crankshaft.
What are your thoughts?

yes you are correct, i meant grease.
he opened it and here are additional images. he said he will need to replace the ball bearing and the seal, his mechanic will try to look for similar parts....
