Re: Advice needed about skeg

MarkSF: thanks for the link. It's a good suggestion.
Slitting up as you said was my thought, but i am not sure about that.

Neilpride:No, the skeg is solid and rigid.

Another thing i saw at your photos: the winches are close to the doghouse. Can you still make a full turn with your winch handle?
I am asking...

Re: Suggestions for Hard Dodger Construction Please

Very interesting thread, as we like to make a dog house on our Dufour 35.

As someone mentioned: we made a sketch over pictures of our sailboat. And i have made a drawing scale 1:10.

Re: pilot house sailboats

A pilot house sailboat is very nice, but often expensive.

Re: Why still indirect injection on boats?

Well, i like less noise and a stable running of the engine. But i do not like the glowing part.
Did you ever feel when you suddenly needed the engine, glowing took way toooo long??

Re: Self-steering auxiliary rudder

I believe the Hydrovane is the only wind vane with a aux. rudder.
Onno, you are right, the rudder of the Hydrovane cannot be lifted, but 'only' dismantled (or disconnected)

Re: DUfour 35

This is the main reason why we are doing it this way.
Only main bulkheads are remaining.

We are wondering about the outer and inner scale of the hull.
It seems to us that they are not bonded...
