My husband and I will be in the area next month and are looking for some recommendations for anchorage areas for lunch spots and ones for overnight. The boat has a 4.4 ft draft.

This is when I would make sure I have a VERY loud, VERY early breakfast....start the engine to recharge battery, have a screaming cold morning swim...Maybe have some other boaters join in the fun.

I don't know when you plan to do the trip up the Hudson but should make sure the locks are open. I heard this weekend some locks are closed due to high water.
