Hi from Australia

Hello all.

New Australian member.

Not planning to "cruise" as such, but recently acquired a boat capable of it, which came with all the "auxiliary systems" cruisers are experienced in managing that we haven't had in previous boats.

Probably won't post a lot, but will be reading regularly!

WELCOME!
I didn't think there were any Aussies left in Australia, I thought there were all in Ensenada, Mx.

Re: Hi from Australia

Welcome to the forum. I thought someone may have asked before now, but no, so i will, what boat have you got?
Spent 17 years sailing Pittwater and the Harbour. Great place.

Coops.

Thanks to all for the welcome.

Coops- just bought an S&S39, and "the other boat" is an old gaff cutter.

Re: Hi from Australia

Both of them sound good, especially the cutter. Any chance of pics of either/both?

Re: Hi from Australia

Might be a while before we get as far as Brisbane/QLD, rusky & cruise ... Port Stephens might be the upper limit for the time being.

Coops - two pictures just uploaded to an album. Not the best shot of the S&S but the only photo I have at the moment.

Re: Hi from Australia

Do not park in Esmeralda cove, On Broughton Island, The wind can come up from the south and it gets squezzed into the inlet,

Creating very large waves,
But it is a lovely spot if its calm, and a lovely beach as well, With a B-B-Que on the Beach,
