you mean the refrigerator salesman that us retired from the EPA?
He actually has more of a clue about what is happening than many on these type of threads.

That being said Rich its taco time.

I can only imagine the absolute outcry and freaking out that would have happened had Al Gore and his disciples been around 12,000 years ago at the end of the last Ice Age. I mean all of those cave men with their big trucks and ignorance causing the world to warm up. I will gladly sit on the beach as I do on vacation each year and wait for the flood that will destroy the beach house from this "rising ocean" that everyone keeps preaching about but yet damnit that beach house and all the pesky ones next to it won't conveniently get washed away like they have been supposed to. C'mon melting glaciers and rising oceans I have some insurance to cash in on once you wipe out all these coastal areas that you've been promising to do.
beaches are not having any issues and many are actually getting bigger.

Sorry to be the bearer of the news your beach house is safe.

They are both problems of policy.
You can't be serious. Isn't the whole climate change agenda is to get the "individual" to change their action at mitigating said climate change? That doesn't even make sense. If every individual in the country started reducing consumption, recycling, and reusing, you're telling me it won't be effective? That's crazy talk.

As an aside, I think it is useful to look at historical data on the path of the jet stream and the factors that control its strength and direction. According to what I have read, the great meanderings of the jet stream are attributable to the decrease in difference in temperature between the equator and the poles. And the decrease in polar ice, and the decrease in albedo that goes with it, looks to be critical in this. Thus while it may be very cold in New York, this is no indication of anything necessarily by itself. Look to where that coldness has been carried from and what the temperature is there now. I for one would like to hear more about predictions for the jet stream since that is the main determiner of the climate (and weather locally) we will see going forward. Well, that is at least especially for those under the polar and subtropical jets.
don the "wandering " of the jet stream is well documented and associated with solar minimums . Look at what it did in 08 and 09 during the last solar minimum.
As to the warming and cooling regions they match up with NOAA reconstructions from the little ice age.

None of us is likely to be seriously affected by the near term effects. And we'll all be dead well before the bigger effects start to bite.

So it's not terribly surprising to find indifference or denial here.

Sorry, kids. It's all on you. Like Rich says... Good luck to you...you are going to need it.

I love ACO.....
She is the poster girl for the modern Democratic Socialist Movement built on ignorance to not just History but the basic fundamentals of our Representative Republic. That she is a spokeswoman for a movement tells you all you really need to know about said movement.

and what is your personal example that has inspired many others to make a change?

An ocean starts with but one drop of rain.

See again here's the problem with your argument, many that make the GW argument (I don't know if you're one of them....but ) will mock religion and all the things that can't be proven, but yet will base their argument on things that CAN'T be proven in their life time because we'll all be dead before it comes to fruition. I can't believe more people don't see the humor in this. The "seas are rising" ummm ok where? 100 years from now. Can you prove that? Yes, in a hundred years, but you'll be dead, so just trust me.
