DH With your permission I'll make some enquiries on another forum dedicated to NZ sailors, very bad press for the individual involved and the possibility of some good advice. Also have another friend ( the one mentioned earlier who would never sail with this guy again) who happens to have a degree in maritime law, I'll run it past him.
Oh dear DT, to many epoxy fumes maybe The note by me was in relation to a thread on a NZ board relating to suppliers, hopefully you remember that. It was a appearantly poorly done digg, purely in jest, that not everyone has had some of the problems you eluded to in the other thread. Damn the NZ school system for not giving me the skills to wind up DT in the proper manner

Anywho... I have put DH in contact with my money getting back pitbulls. Hopefully they will be able to assit DH in retrieving what is his. All going well DH will respond in time with a positive result. I bloody hope so anyway, we don't need gents (??) like the bad man in question blighting our entire industry.

If that doesn't work, I do know people who know people you just don't want to know

Not me, I remember the thread but believe my only comments were about the overall lack of customer service in NZ. Similarly I was accused of calling Maximus a shitter once, that annoyed me coz I go to lengths not to criticize anyone else's boat, no point.
It's been years since I had any serious interaction with the NZ marine industry as I took off cruising in 1978, returned in 87, didn't own another boat till 95 , which I bought and sailed in Mexico and Central America. One of my regrets is that in spite of sailing some 150,000 miles I've done practically no cruising in my "home" waters. Damn Muldoon.

It was me that started the thread about Akl suppliers. Funny, I was saying to Sue today about how great the service is in most places in Devonport.

Pity I don't know how to post photos here or I'd have another excuse to show the one of me dressed as Frankenfurter for our housewarming. One midle aged lady told me I was so hot her panty hose melted.
