More details that might be helpful: the original bolts are threaded into one side of the bronze cast gudgeon halves. Mine worked loose after a few years so when I replaced them I did so with bolts 1/2" longer and added nylock nuts to lock it tight, keeping the original threads in the bronze. Another detail I forgot to mention is the cutless bearing is in fact in two halves cut from one bearing, crosswise, not lengthwise. A bronze bearing with rubber or neoprene bearing surface works great. Lastly, the appropriate term for removing the rudder is"unshipping", correcting my own error. ;-)
