China diesel heater (Brand Vevor) control unit manaul

I need help. I am now installing a new diesel heater. The instruction manual for the control panel is absolutely hopelessto understand. Two different panels are pictured and described, neither looks like mine.
The description describes button to press that are not all shown in the panels front.
In particular there should be a mode for priming the fuel line to the heater, but I have not been able to figure out how to activate it.
1) does anyone have a proper manual for my control panel, see picture of it.
2) is it likely that another control panel would run my heater? Many of those looks almost to be the same as mine and have the same connector, and Youtube and other sources sjhows how to operate these.

Re: China diesel heater (Brand Vevor) control unit manaul

Sorry but my unit came with a completely different control head, with (poorly written) instructions for yet another controller.

I eventually primed the system by priming the fuel line up to the pump manually, then by letting the heater try but fail to start 3 or 4 times, and it eventually primed the last foot or two of fuel line after the pump and fired up fine.

It doesn't help that the controller happily tells me what button I've pushed in chinese "kwe-chi yi dao".

Pretty sure just about all of them are:

1 Turn the heater control on
2 Press the down and ok button simultaneously "H oF" will flash
3 Press the up button. The pump will turn on and the display will show " H oN"

Pull the hose off of the heater and put it in a bottle. Watch it until it starts pumping fuel out. Hook the hose back up and you should be good to go.

Since the pump times out eventually you may need to start the pump 2 or 3 times.

I just installed this one in caravan recently, different screen but you might get something happening.
It took 3 goes to get the diesel through the 6 metres of tubing.
Most importantly note bottom line in red, don't shut down power before the cooling process finishes.

Sorry, my control panel looks similar but button placements are mirrored. It does not get to priming by that description and video. My manual also states that video sequence.

Hi,
Did you ever figure this out? I have the same issue and can’t figure out how to use my controller to set time and can’t find videos either. Thank you! ,

Lots of YouTube videos out there about these heaters.
Watch a few and you should be able to figure it out.

My panel is different than all the videos I’ve looked at - no clock. I’ve looked at a lot of videos, I’m having the same problem as the person that started this thread.

I have a friend who almost burned down his boat recently with this type of heater. It caught on fire. Be careful….

Diesel itself is extremely difficult to ignite, so there was a fire in the wiring and spread to the boat, something like that?

That’s what I am wondering about. There’s no way the actual combustion caught the boat on fire. Can only be a wiring issue.

And at the same time these things are connected by 15 amp fuses going into the unit itself as well as the 15 amp breaker you have powering the circuit.

I’d love to know more about this fire someone had that almost burned their boat down

Well obviously the diesel is ignited if there is heat coming out of the unit (???).

It was heating, and he thinks the pump “ran away” and injected way too much fuel into the burner. It overheated and burned up the outlet area.

OK, since we're doing wild speculation, my guess would be letting the exhaust hose come too close to some wood or fiberglass structure in the boat. Those things can get red hot!
