TAD has a different spin on this.
The anti stall device body is glued in place, the stall adjuster screw is installed the the body.

The danger here as they say is turning the screw without supporting the body.
Apparently, if the bodies bond is broken then it leaks profusely.

And the FI pump must be removed and repaired.
They were clear about this issue.
So while one could potentially use it as a bleed point, great care must be practiced.
This point I did not know.
So, in fact there's only 1 bleed screw safe to use on the FI pump.
Thanks for the TAD link, it's very good.

Re: Help - Perkins 4 108

Forgot to mention this earlier. But one of the newer tools I use now to see into hard to reach areas is my cell phone camera. With the flash you can see lots of stuff in dark recesses and at different angles.

Also have a borescope but I don't carry that in my pocket everyday.

When you install an electric fuel pump, be aware that a lot of them contain fuel filter that, due to its small size, is very easily clogged.

Re: Help - Perkins 4 108

On the 4108 an electrical fuel lift pump will save your motor on the day the mechanical (maniacal) lift pump diaphragm leaks diesel into your crankcase turning your diesel oil into diesel fuel.
