Does anyone feel the same way??

I'm usually on iPhone or iPad so no info with avatar but a click on the avatar gets me the bio information if the poster listed their boat type and location.

I like to interact with cruising yacht people.
International waters. No country bias intended.

Hooroo, for now. Shakey.
Don't assume because it says Portugal that one is limited to that region..
It might be a WWW.. but some of us are WWS's...

The # of international posters is one of the best aspects of the forum. In fact, the coolest kidz are out there cruising.

I've been thinking of who is the coolest poster of the international persuasion? With a very narrow margin over my #2, I'd like to nominate Ann Cate as the coolest poster. The gal always has a sensible view, inevitably wider than my own, and is unfailing polite and mature. I also happen to know that Ann shaves her legs with cold water. A beer says she "swears like a sailor ... "

Re: Does anyone feel the same way??

Great advantage to have folks from all across the planet posting on CF. We get advice and demonstration of how to navigate into foreign ports with no steering from Boatman. We get rapid debunking of the health perils of English bacon from Weavis. We get political and financial advice from Oyster owners all over the world. We are advised of a plague of drones but multihull owners in Florida. Frequently information about the latest advances in knot tying will originate from all corners of the globe in nearly synchronized display. If one wants to know about Chinese diesel engines the answers will bolt from the ocean in Micronesia. The one common nono is discussion of anchors, in fact there is a morally questionable and long running thread called "photo's of anchors setting" that is quite provocative. You can even get marital advice...the list goes on and on. Heady stuff indeed

Re: Does anyone feel the same way??

Country isn't always relevant to the conversation so I would think if your profile does not specify it then you should add it, if it pertains to the question. If I ask a question about scope on a 32' trawler with 60' feet of chain on inland river cruising it probably doesn't matter to you before you post a reply. If I start talking disposal of waste overboard off the coast, then it makes a big difference which coast I am talking about.
