NYC to Yorktown delivery feedback

I am closing soon on a low hour 38 foot 2002 Hunter 386 monohull in a couple of weeks and need to transport it from NYC to Yorktown, VA. My plan is to go down the NJ coast stopping at Manasquan and Atlantic City then perhaps Cape May then up the Delaware bay and down the Chesapeake bay. It's roughly a 450 mile trip.
The boat was used every season and is in ok condition but I am planning on spending a couple of days going over all systems and fixing a few things found in the survey and stocking the boat.
It has a Yanmar 40HP diesel and a Panda diesel generator. Weather permitting I am expecting the trip to take 7 to 9 days. I have gathered extra belts, impellers, hoses, hose clamps, oil, fluids.
The boat has updated electronics, radar, chart plotter.

I will be hiring a local delivery captain to help me get past NYC.

Any words of wisdom?

I posted on another sailing board and got mixed responses. Some implying the boat may only cover 40 miles a day and that the engine was small and may not last the trip.
This is what this type of boat of this size was intended for.

You'll be fine. thousands of similar boats make this exact passage year after year. Load up on snacks and podcasts. Skip Manasquan as I think you've got air and keel draft issues. Just go overnight from Sandy Hook to Atlantic City. For God's sake just stay off the beach Easy peasy.

Oh and obviously check the weather. Don't go if the wind is anything out of the South or East and if you are inexperienced and not used to the boat don't go in anything more than 15 gusting to 30 out of the North. You could go in a gale out of the West though and just blast down the coast in flat water. Fun times. Again, pack snacks.
