It is a 19ft boat from craigslist.com that is a perfect little day sailor after some TLC and new sails! Congrats on the new boat!

lol i gotcha ya.. thats what i thought when i saw it in someones back yard i stopped and asked about it and they said you want it its yours take it free ..
id still wondering about the make and model tho ..it has no hull id or identifying markings

see if you can find some used sails before you buy it, it's likely not worth the cost of new sails....even if you get it free.

i found a used main for 75 bucks in fair condition and the boat will be day sailed only in a smaller lake in upstate NY .
i really would like to determine the make and model tho any ideas???

I've not seen the model before.... flat aft section... almost a chine back there. Is there a registration hull ID molded into the back transom?

Looks familiar. How long is it? It looks longer than 19'.

Looks like a Rhodes 22 (General Boat) except for no windows in front. Not too many boats with flared hull sides like that. See www.rhodes22.com

Rhodes - yes. 22 - yes. But not a "Rhodes 22". It is actually a Rhodes Continental which was basically the same design but does not have all the niceties of the newer version. They were made in the 70s and should have some type of ID on the transom unless it is pre '73. Rhodes designed the boat in 1960.
