Re: Folding RIB

Hi,
I have F-Rib 360 with 20 HP outboard engine. It is ok and being foldable makes it really easy to store. You can purchase it from different sources. I bought mine in England/Southhampton.

Re: Folding RIB

Tinker foldaway in UK.

i always thought these were interesting. We have an old T. Traveler which has been a great tender. Only real issue is that outboard hp is limited. .

Re: Folding RIB

I asked the nice man at F-RIB why they didn't use Hypalon. He said the material doesn't stand up well to folding and will fail as a result.

PVC had a bad rep but materials have evolved and the newer fabrics such as Mirasol last well, are UV stable and are plenty robust enough.

I do like the concept of a RIB that can be stored safely on passage and when the boat is left unattended so will be going to have a better look at the Southampton boat show.
