Independant power sources.

G'day all

Reading a couple of threads here got me thinking as to what people use as a backup to their main power source. What sort of charging systems do you have for things like gps/laptop if your main power source is down. I am particularly interested in simple systems for out of the way place where batteries may not be readily available.
