cold plate systems

I know this isn't the place for this but I removed my cold plate refrigeration (too many teenagers kept it running all the time) and replaced it with conventional. I've got all the equipment in the garage. If any one is interested contact me off list. gregb@jgbowers.com

Replaced with conventional?

What is conventional if I may ask? I have just removed most of the components of my Seafrost Engine driven/AC driven system. I am interested in alternatives, or whether I'll just replace it with new Seafrost components.

Anyone have any suggestions?

In my case conventional meant Norcold and ULine 120 volt units. Two Refirgerators and one Freezer. When away from the dock I use either the jenny or a 3000 watt inverter and when at anchor the house batteries (2 x 8D) always lasted through the night. This has been a much better solution for our family. BTW I have run into a couple of people who are using golf cart batteries in series instead of regular marine batteries. Anyone else want to comment on that?
