We have a cockpit surround for our Baba 35 that has never been used. It was custom made by a professional canvas shop and is in like-new condition. The material is Sunbrella, and there are numerous Strataglass windows (or a similar clear window material) . The windows zip open on heavy duty zippers and all have screens beneath. The bimini top has a raised section with a window in front to increase forward visibility. All of the Sunbrella, Strataglass, zippers, webbing, fasteners, screens, etc. are in like-new condition. The surround could be adapted to boats other than a Baba 35 with some modifications, which could be done by a professional canvas worker or, if you have a heavy-duty sewing machine and some sewing skills, by yourself. The stainless steel bows are not included; they need to be made to fit the boat on which the surround is being installed (Sailrite has a bimini bow kit for around $650), and you would need a "connector piece" of Sunbrella that will go from the bimini section to whatever you have for a dodger (also available from Sailrite). We were told by the previous owner, who had the surround made, that he spent around $10,000 for it. We would be happy to sell it for a small fraction of that. We could provide photos of the panels, but do not have any photos of the surround installed, since we never have used it. If interested, contact us for more information, photos, or to discuss a price.
