AIS Silent Mode with Zeus2 & NAIS 500

Have a NAIS 500 ais transceiver and I seen in the manual that you can put a hard ware switch to it when using a nmea0183 connections. But it is connected with a N2K cable and does not seem to have that options.

Is there some other way to put it in to "silent mode" to not transmit ais ?

Its connected to a B&G Zeus2 Plotter.

Thanks

Does it have the cables (or connectors) at the back for an NMEA 0183 connection? If so you could try out connecting the 2 wires mentioned in the manual.

The cables are Likly in the power cable. The cable for the switch should be there somewhere.

Nmea 183 or 2000 is irelivent.

Old thread but if you connect the light green and orange wires inside the power & data cable together (or better, install a toggle switch), you can put it into silent mode (connected is silent, disconnected is broadcast). Note, this is not the NMEA 2000 cable.
