Buyer using Broker

I am close to making an offer on a boat after looking for awhile. I know this other broker who sold my boat very well. He is trying to talk me in to using him for negotiations and making the process easier. Are there any advantages or disadvantages for me the buyer using a broker for the sale? I know he will get half the commission. Will this piss the other broker off, or does it matter? It cost me no money either way. Thoughts apprecciated! Thanks, Russell
