Sailing from Toronto to Halifax

I am interested in sail (and motoring) from Toronto to Halifax following the Saint Lawrence river. I wonder where can I get information about such a trip.

There are a number of folks who have sailed the St. Lawrence. I sailed from Lake Ontario (east end) to Newfoundland in 2017. So instead of swinging south around the Gaspé we stayed north around Anticosti Island. But my journey overlaps your route for much of it. We anchored almost the entire way down. We only entered two marinas, so I can't tell you much about that. From the Saguenay we stayed on the north side of the river.

There are some guides for the route, but we didn't find them very useful. The most valuable tools were charts, Sailing Directions (Gvt of Canada pub.), ActiveCaptain, and lots of local knowledge as you move along.

The one guide I do recommend is Nautiguide, published in Quebec. I've only ever seen it in French, although someone said they found an English copy. You can get PDF here: https://nautismequebec.com/outils-et...es/nautiguide/
