Will arrive in Annapolis today. Anyone know if there is space to anchor in Weems Creek right now ?

Re: Where to Anchor for the Annapolis Show ?

Not related to anchoring but I am hoping some of you fine people will help a complete newbie.

This will be my first boat show, of many I hope, and I am not sure of the
etiquette. I believe that I will have to remove my shoes before going onto the boats but I am not sure about that.
If I do have to remove my shoes is it okay if I am bare foot since I may be wearing sandals/flip flops?
I apologize for my ignorance but I am looking forward to the show this weekend and don't want to waste my time there.
Thanks in advance for the help!

Are you asking if you'll need socks? They have a thing about socks. Many Chesapeake Bay boaters burn their socks every spring, as part of a tradition. I'm not clear on when it is acceptable to wear socks again.

But, you might stick a pair in you pocket, just to be safe.

I'm just not sure if it is accepted to walk on the yachts at the show bare foot or not...
