Sumatra now

40yr old guy currently in Lagundri Bay Nias, looking to crew on a yacht around Sumatra for a few months, still have valid visa for next 4 months.

Speak decent Indonesian, have spent many yrs surfing around all of Indonesia, easy going and love the boat life.

Have some boat experience, keen to learn more and am comfortable spending months at a time on a boat.

Im very easy going, outgoing, respectful, personable, positive attitude, great personality, sense of humour, gets along with everyone.... positive vibes and mutual respect is how i like to live

Cheers

Ben

Re: Sumatra now

The cruising boats in west Sumatra are having a pretty difficult time with the cv19 lockdown. Many have been denied entry or asked to leave from anchorarges near villages. Not a good time to be taking on crew.

Yep, with most not having access to any nearby country, as they are locked down too.

Re: Sumatra now

All the yachts ive seen 10+ have been heading south, probably trying to find some nice quiet isolated waves to hide out at for a while and avoid detection, as like you say they would be getting moved on if anchoring near any villages, i was suprised one was allowed to stay 2 nights in lagundri, ive heard from Locals many are in Teluk Dalam at the moment

Greetings and welcome aboard the CF, Ben.
Respectfully suggest you just stay put, for now.
