Cruising restricitons Croatia, Greece an Turkey

Good news for cruisers.. Croatia and Greece have lifted all restrictions for sailing, Turkey and Tunisia are still closed but likely to be opened shortly. Nonetheless, there are still restricitons on international flights, Turkey and Greece are starting the domestic flights on June 1st and international flights on 13th of June. Greece and Croatia are now free for navigatioon of all kind of boats and for all flags, but the entry of some nationalities particularly the non Schengen ones can still be problematic..
Hopefully by mid of June, we will be able to sail as before. Sailing is the safest way of enjoying the sea and the sun but I would still limit the contacts ashore as much as possible wherever we are.

Cheers

Re: Cruising restricitons Croatia, Greece an Turkey

Hello
Are you by any chance cruising in the Göcek/Marmaris area ?
We are planning to go sailing in Turkey for 2 weeks in July and are wondering if the smaller restaurants in some of the lovely bays will be open ? Many thanks, Udo.

Re: Cruising restricitons Croatia, Greece an Turkey

To update my previous message, Greece is not open to any boat regardless the flag or the crew coming from Turkey. The ferries running between Rhodes and Marmaris also are not operating and will not probably until the end of the season. Greek authorities mentioned that the reason is that the case are increasing in Greece but there might also be other political reasons , as some speculate..

It's sad to see that Rhodes and Simi mostly visited by yachters coming from Turkey are totally deserted now..

Cheers
