Not sure mate. The yard sold it to my mate who has had it for a number of years. My guess is as least 6 yrs.I have the impression the boat was undergoing a refit when she was abandoned. Holes where drilled into the hulls by P.O. to allow any fresh water thru.

Sanding and bogging such joy.The plastic painter's sheets are to stop more moisture entering unsheathed ply that was in situ.It seems to be wicking out the wet stuff too.

Re: Wharram Narai MK lV .

I'd put it on at night to keep out the dew but during the day it will slow the evaporation. If there is moisture on the underside it is from the wood drying out, letting the sun and breeze help will speed things along.

Thanks mate. Will do as you advise.I had a win today a mate of mine found a job lot of exterior CD ply for little money. This will be good enough for replacing rotten ply on the decks and below the beam troughs.Click image for larger version

Re: Wharram Narai MK lV .

Hey, make sure it is all fir and not hemfir as hemlock rots easily. The japanese like it for wood working because of the whiter color but you don't want it on a boat. For cdx fir ply the 3 lamination 1/4" /6mm size isn't a bad risk as you can fill any voids in the outer 2 laminations. Voids in ply are a trouble spot in the marine environment as they can allow moisture vapor to collect and pool starting a rot spot. Often meranti marine ply like Hydrotek and aquatek is cheaper than marine fir. For sure the grain is often better.
