Searunner 37 trimaran

Specs:
Searunner 37 trimaran 1983
U. S. documented vessel.
Vessel name: FURTHER
Dimensions: 37’ loa. 22’ beam.
Draft: 3.5’ board up. 6.5’ center board down.
Displacement: Approx. 10,000 lbs.
Mast height above water 52’.
Accommodations:
Aft cabin has full sized berth with opening hatch.
Nav station aft just inside companionway
Galley counters run port and starboard with dinette table aft under large opening hatch. Screens for all hatches.
New counter tops, sink with pressure fresh water and foot pump raw water. Two burner propane stove/oven. 12-volt refrigeration in floor at dinette.
Forward cabin: Full sized berth with opening hatch. Single berth to starboard. Dressing/sink area with both raw and fresh water on foot pumps. Head area forward. Raritan manual pump toilet.
Deep storage cabinets through-out boat.
Sail Plan:
Cutter rig with removable inner fore stay.
New fully battened Mack Sails mainsail on cars and mast track. Mack Sails zippered cover and lazy jacks.
Mainsail sheeted on full width traveler track. All sail handling done from cockpit with-in arm’s length of the wheel. Boat will point to 30 degrees.
Asymmetrical spinnaker with ATN sock. Flies from snatch blocks attached to ama bows. Lines led to primary winches. All running rigging on upgraded Garhauer deck organizers, cheek blocks, and multi-part purchase blocks.
Storm/mule sail hank on the inner forestay.
All halyards run through line clutches on mast.
Winches:
Primary winches: two Anderson ST 46. Two Anderson ST 28 for halyards and centerboard.
Power:
Yanmar 3gmf diesel. 22.5 hp. 5500 hours. Rebuilt injector pump just installed. Cooling, exhaust, and fuel systems regularly maintained with complete records from last 20 years. Racor Turbine series water separator/fuel filter with T- handle for easy change out of filters. FURTHER burns .6 gals diesel per hour at 2200 rpm. 6.5 knots in calm water. Two blade fixed prop.
Tankage:
Diesel- 39 gals.
Water- 60 gals
Sullage- 13 gals.
Propane- 12lb aluminum mounted in aka deck vented locker.
Electronics/Electrical:
Garmin 740xs chart plotter mounted on binnacle. Garmin GMD 20 mounted inside dodger for crew viewing. Shows wind speed/direction. Garmin G-wind transducer. Depth meter. All instruments on MNEA 2000 network.
Standard Horizon VHF.
I-COM IC-706 Single sideband transceiver (never used) with antenna isolator on back stay.
12-volt Frigiboat refrigeration.
Stektronics LED mast mounted nav lights. Auto on/off and S.O.S. modes.
3 batteries. Group 27 dedicated starter battery. Two house batteries. T-106, total 225-amp hours. Charging by 75-amp alternator/ Air Breeze wind power. Charles A/C shore charger. Starter battery on Echo charge to isolate from house bank.

Steering:
Wagner Hydraulic steering. Steering ram rebuilt. Boat had a Power Pilot hydraulic autopilot. All the pumps are still integrated in the system. The present controller is outdated/unreliable. Suggestion for new owner: Purchase the MNEA 2000 interface to run the auto pilot from the Garmin 740xs chart plotter.

Anchoring:
Primary: Fortress FX-16 and 20 feet chain. 100 feet of rope rode. Light weight and holds great in the Chesapeake region. Secondary: Lewmar 35lb.

Hull and Topsides:
Main hull and amas- (2018) Hulls sandblasted down to glass. Multiple areas were cut and replaced. Then re-glassed and faired with West System. The bottom was barrier coated to Pettit mil thickness specs.
(2020) The hulls sanded then primed with 3 coats of Interlux epoxy prime coat. Then 3-5 coats of Interlux 2-part Perfection Paint. Tracks were added for the forward nets.
(2020) Rudder pintails and gudgeons were replaced. Zinc attachment points were added to all under water components. Propeller coated with Prop-Speed system.
Approximate cost for the above: $40k. I know. We can’t help ourselves!

Hard dodger fabricated with Nidacore and glass. Seven deck hatches fabricated with Corecell or Nidacore and 12-17 oz glass on aluminum frames. Hard FRP Bimini top on stainless frame.
Aft mounted aluminum arch with robust dinghy davit that doubles as a MOB retrieval device. Arch has mount for a dinghy motor. Antennas on arch. Perfect location for solar panel array. Wind generator attached to arch.

This is a solid Searunner37. We have refined and maintained this boat for 20+ years like we are going to live forever. Detailed maintenance log available for purchaser. It will be hard to give up the sailing performance of FURTHER. In a blow we always felt safe, and she just cuts through where other boats flounder. In light air she glides. Located in Norfolk, VA Asking $45k.
