Davits for a 2012 Beneteau Oceanis 45

Hello everyone,

I will appreciate it if you can help me choose davits for a 2012 Beneteau Oceanis 45. Main purpose to stack solar panels and list a dinghy. The dinghy will be hard bottom with a 5hp engine on it. So the weights will be around 50kgs more or less.

Regards

Lootah

If you find anything... let me know! I'll be looking for an '11 Oceanis 43 davit. Main goal is to hoist the dinghy, but solar panels would eventually be nice.

We have 473 and have been very happy with our arch from Atlantic Towers. It was easy to install and the customer service was the best we have ever had.

Or something like this, another 473
Cost was approx $1200, as I used a non-marine fabricator to make the davits.

Did anyone ever find a good option for davits or arch for the Beneteau Oceanis 45? Thanks in advance.

Have you asked your dealer for davits?
Beneteau has in offer STAINLESS STEEL ARCH WITH DAVITS with price of 1780EUR (plus VAT) in EU. The maximum load is 200kgs. And it can be ordered after launching the boat. If you need some pictures and dims let me know and I can send them to you.

I've been looked at these for my Morgan 462, and also these from FishOnSports. The latter is less expensive than Atlantic, and from what I can tell the quality is similar...

Hi Freshman, thanks for the suggestion and I have inquired with a dealer now. They don't seem very familiar with this option but are investigating. That would be great if you could share some dimensions please.

Hi David, thanks for the link. Looks like these ones max out at a 11' beam unfortunately. I've been taking a look at the Atlantic Towers Arch more closely as an option.

Re: Davits for a 2012 Beneteau Oceanis 45

Hello Lootah, I put an Arch for combined davits and solar panels on Jeanneau Sunfast43, pics attached. The work was done at Turgutreis near Bodrum by a local fabricator called Aidin. I was pretty happy with the job, good compromise between weight and strength, photos attached. Now that it is installed I realise it could have been designed with some cross bracing on the stern, a little too much side to side movement for my liking. The angle stanchion that the lifelines attach to near the cockpit winches was removed and replaced by the Arch support. I intend to add a life raft holder. Still working out the best way to hang the tender, I have more pics if you are interested with half the solar panels installed, I am going to replace the initial solar panels I put on. Cheers, Dean

Re: Davits for a 2012 Beneteau Oceanis 45

Thanks everyone for the suggestions so far. I know the beam on the Oceanis 45 is 14'9", but does anyone know the width at the transom?

Does anyone have an idea what the spec would be on something like this in terms of load? How much boat (and motor) will this hold reliably?
