Hunter Delta 25 Mast Rake Query

Hi
I have a Delta 25 but I have noticed that when on the water her mast rake appears to be too excessive, unfortunately I have not measured this as yet. The helm feels quite neutral, however the previous owner had a wooden wedge which he said had to be inserted at the front of the rudder stock, pushing the top of the blade backwards, when the rudder was fully down or he would get bad weather helm. (this makes me believe that my suspicions about the rake are correct) I have not had the chance yet to try the rudder without this wedge as the boat has been laid up for several years so I don’t know what effect removing it would make. Does anyone else have this wooden wedge fitted at the front of their rudder stock I wonder? Any help and views would be most welcome.

Kind Regards

John
