1987 Catalina30 Hurth transmission

I'm asking on behalf of my friend that is away. He is looking for needle bearings for his Hurth transmission from Catalina30. It is the original transmission that was installed with Universal 25XP. I found a exploded diagram for the transmission from ZF Marine and found part number for larger bearing. For some reason I just can't locate the smaller bearing on that diagram. Am I missing something? He also sent me some pics that are attached. Thank you for any help.

Not sure where you are, but if possible take it to a bearings and drive place and they will measure it and most likely give you a new one.

Not that simple. He is sitting in the middle of nowhere. He just sent me dimensions. Smaller bearing is 0.650 ID, 0.780 OD and 0.500 wide. Larger bearing is 1.204 ID, 1.325 OD and 0.500 wide. These measurements were taken from worn out bearings that he has in hand.

I guess then either you take those numbers to a bearings and drive shop, or wait until Monday and call a transmission overhaul facility and try to buy them there?
Although I have never worn out a needle bearing myself, needed to clean some up, but never worn one out.

Your friend might have to replace the gearbox with a newer suitable substitute. We had a 1988 model Hurth HBW that finally gave out during a passage ~6 months ago. We spent 2 weeks combing the Internet and making calls to transmission specialists in the US and Europe, but we never found the needed clutch parts and we ended up ordering in a new ZF transmission.

Maybe something was lost in translation. The smaller needle bearings (there are 2) are used at the shift lever shaft and the counter gear shaft. These bearings would be found on a different page of the parts manual than the exploded all of the shaft bearings. Look at the exploded view of the case. I think you will find them there.
