Yep, been following him for a bit -- he’s not new to long distance trekking… I believe he was planning to compete in the Around-in-Ten project some years back and then decided he was making too many compromises/accommodations just to satisfy rules – he decided his own motives were all wrong, cut up the boat as I recall, and went back to what he obviously likes…
