Pearson 422 does it have a solid deck or is a balsa cored. I have a brochure from the manufacturer that say they are balsa cored but my broker insists that they’re solid. seems like a dilemma any input anybody with 422s or 424s that have actually cut holes replaced hatches what have you and been able to visualize the core.
thanks

I have a Pearson from the same era. It has balsa cored decks. 99% of cruising boats since 1970 have balsa cored decks. So yes, your decks are balsa cored.
Jordan Review: “... The 422 hull is thick and sound with a solid hull to deck joint, keel stepped mast, and encapsulated ballast. Unlike most yachts of this era who have balsa cores, the deck is solid glass...”
