Online marine electronics recommendation

I need to replace my triducer and can only source it in the US (I'm in new zealand) where it only seems to be stocked by online suppliers.

There looks to be three companies with it avaliable

Solidsignal
Gps4us
Imarine

I've looked at the reviews and they all get terrible feedback, but is it a case of only people with a bad experience bother to leave a review? So was wondering if people have experience with any of these companies amd can provide a recommendation?

Which triducer do you need? Did you check defender.com? I have used imarine and it was okay.

I need an Airmar DST800 L. It's the L bit that's making it difficult....

I would not hesitate to use imarine but see they don’t ship internationally.

I recommend you call Defender and ask if they can order it. They have been fast and good service for me, as did iMarine.

Have done this many times. If Defender sells products from a particular manufacturer they have always been able to get other items from that company that are not in the Defender catalog. Usually takes them a day or three to get the price.

If you're overseas you can just email them as well.

AIRMAR

Contact: sales@airmar.com might be for wholesale only. But they might be able to help.

It's worth a try.

These people seem to always be able to get Airmar products/parts: https://www.gemeco.com . They have been around for awhile and have been helpful to me in the past.

Re: Online marine electronics recommendation

We purchased a replacement transducer from iMarine three years ago, no problems, ordered on a Friday, shipped the following Monday.

We're in the lower 48 for a couple of weeks, if you need a US address and someone to trans-ship happy to do so.

Re: Online marine electronics recommendation

Thanks is for all the responses, spoke to a very helpful lady at Defemder marine and it's on order, they will then ship it to NZ.

Defender have also priced it as competitively as the online stores.
