Recommendations? re: nav electronics

I hope to spend part of 2020 cruising the mid-coast of Maine. Purchased a '76 Catalina 27 and it came with lots of older charts but I'd like to update the navigation electronics.
Any recommendations for good quality GPS system that can be read in full sun?

Would need to know more about how much of a system you want. What brands do you like? What charts do you like? Are you more cruisy or more racey? Etc.
