iPad crashes running Navionics +AIS

I have an iPad2 with a lot of open memory. The Navionics app stops running about 2-3 minutes after I start it. I’m in the San Francisco Bay so we have a lot of targets. Navionics works great when I turn off the AIS option. The one app I have running in the background is OnCourse to show my AIS info to Marine Traffic. I’m using the Digital Yachts receiver with WiFi to send the signal to my iPad and Garmin gpsmaps chart recorder. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Sounds like you are overloading the CPU or GPU, time for a new iPad.......I had the same issue with an old iPad mini I used for years.

Thanks for the reply. That’s what I thought p, but was not sure. May borrow/ steal my wife’s new iPad and try it out on the boat. The Navionics AIS works fine on my iphone11. I hope Navionics will improve the AIS data to show different target vessel types. I like the app since it’s easy to use but I think iNavX has a better presentation for the AIS. Thanks again, I will let the forum know my results when the rain stops here.
