Jetty Maintenance Cost

Hi everyone,

I am considering buying a waterfront property which has an existing private jetty. One of the considerations for going ahead with the purchase is obviously expected annual costs - which includes the maintenance of this jetty.

Since I've never owned a jetty we have absolutely no idea what it will cost to maintain this jetty. My assumptions are that this will include regularly removing algae and barnacles etc, occasionally replacing board-planks etc.

Details of the jetty:
26m x 1.2m catwalk with a small landing at the end - total surface area of catwalk + landing = 36sqm)

Any tips, rough cost estimates and other things we should consider when owning a private jetty are appreciated!
