Source of information on documentation for living aboard

I am planning next year on buying a boat with another and spending a few years in early retirement sailing the world. I am finding it quite easy to get information on sailing, boats, living aboard, etc, but the area that is harder to get is the paperwork you need to do before living aboard. I mean things like renewing passports abroad, sorting out your tax, handling bank accounts whilst abroad, etc. (I am looking at this from the viewpoint of a UK citizen.)

Has anybody found any websites where information on these matters are discussed?

Nothing special required for the former.
Lots of "expat" websites for the latter. Probably expatica.com is a good start.
