Replacing an AC Electrical Outlet Beneteau

I'm starting a new electrical project on my 46' Beneteau Sailboat and I was hoping to get advice from someone who has done this before. I recently pulled out a power cord from a 110v AC receptacle outlet inside the boat and the entire assembly came out of the wall. I ordered a replacement pigtail outlet from Beneteau but I don't know what to expect when I change it out. Has anyone replaced one of these before? Are there any special tools or instructions I will need?

The boat also tripped a breaker/GFCI/fuse somewhere in the circuit that I haven't been able to locate as of yet. I have a new clamp multimeter that just arrived and I hope to track that problem down once the outlet is fixed.

Thanks.

Re: Replacing an AC Electrical Outlet Beneteau

Very timely post... I have a Beneteau plug to replace on my 49 but I have not done it yet. Mine got too hot from running an electric heater for too long. The plug plastic got discolored but I would rather be safe.

I assume it is just a plug in situation. You should be able to replace the whole assembly that you show in your last 2 pictures.

Update: This turned out to be an easy one. Trued off the power, pop off the interior panels, and the rest was straightforward.

Would you be able to share where you purchased outlet ?
I can’t find anything similar online.
Mine is poping out of the trim and the ground screw isn’t holding well anymore.

Two methods to create GFI circuit, either a GFI breaker or a GFI outlet as first in the circuit which protects all other outlets downstream. A GFI outlet is much cheaper so that is the method used by most builders, check all your outlets for the reset.
