1977 Pearson 10m bilge pump problem

Aloha. Can anyone supply a wiring diagram or info on how it’s wired? I see what looks like an add on push-pull switch by the companionway. Badly corroded. Wiring disappears out of sight. Mahalo! Doug.

Being an add on means no one can tell you exactly how it's wired, you'll have to trace the wires.

Basics - a pump would be wired to the battery with a fuse and a switch in the + lead, the negative lead would go to the negative on the battery.

They might go to buss bars instead of directly to the battery, there might be a float switch to automatically turn on the pump, or several other options.
