Your offering seems right down my alley. I am looking for just such an adventure/opportunity and am quite interested in putting my name in the cap and securing a berth.
Having a valid and ready passport, the timing is just perfect for me. I'm available from April to whenever you need and right on through the summer/fall.

I have never gotten seasick in all of my years of offshore cruising (8 or more years) and quite frankly haven't ever imagined such a thing as one of my most memorable experiences was aboard a NOAA survey ship, the USS Whiting, off the coast of Hatteras trying to outrun a hurricane in order to arrive in Norfolk, our home port. We experienced 30 to 35 foot waves and howling 65+ kt winds. I was fascinated how a round bottom vessel could handle such brutal seas, though she did so with much flair and success. She was certainly stout! The worst thing for me was that the captain had closed the galley and I was hungry standing watch on the bridge and had to make my own huge sandwiches!

I have a current and ready passport and my health is excellent. I have just completed the course study and passed all exams for 100 Ton Master's ticket at MPT in Fort Lauderdale March 29, 2019. As I said, I have more than 720 days of documented time offshore, though it was in the late 90's with my last boat job being First Mate on a 150' private motor yacht in 2000. I now need 90 days sea time on any size vessel to acquire my License.

That's my motivation for this trip as well as to polish my sailing skills as they are quite rusty. I do have experience being offshore in the Coast Guard as a quartermaster 3rd class aboard cutters doing drug interdiction in the Pacific south of Los Angeles down to the Panamanian coast. We would be out to sea up to 200 NM offshore for 14 to 21 days at a time. I was also part of the prize crew assigned to board and carry sailboats busted with drugs back to San Diego. Some of these sailboat trips were unescorted and up to 10 to 12 days.

As I said and for full disclosure, my experience and love of the sea is a bit earlier in my life, though at 63 I am getting my captain's ticket, hoping to buy a sailboat and doing a bit of chartering for the next few years to pay off the boat.

I would love to be considered for a berth aboard for this trip and believe I would be a valuable asset for your voyage. I certainly will give it my whole heart and effort.

Secondarily, as I need 90 days current, I am also available for other trips you may have on the schedule or even could pick up a boat from Tahiti to continue to book sea time. I am both versatile, willing and able to do so.

My strongest attributes are my excellent health, my attitude which is always can do and all is well (somewhere, lol) and my love of sailing coupled with my dream for a life back at sea ahead of me. Feel free to contact me for further discussion.

I also have an expired US Merchant Mariners AB ticket and am qualified to receive a 100 Ton Master as soon as I present the current 90 days sea time within the last 3 years to join my 720 plus days already documented.
