1984 Hunter 31 sailboat, $23,995, Marina del Rey

I am selling my 1984 Hunter 31. I thought I would keep her forever but now need to go to Europe and it does not make sense to sail/truck her. I have performed extensive upgrades on the boat in the last five years (most of them following discussions here on the forum), so ideally this boat should go to someone who loves sophisticated systems on a classic racer/cruiser.

List of features:

Sailing - two mainsails (one fully battened), 155% genoa, 110% genoa, average condition. Harken II roller furler, hard vang, all lines led aft, two anchors (Bullagga and Fluke), dodger, bimini, matching cockpit cushions.

Engine - original engine replaced with Yanmar 2GM20F - 16 hp, 300 hours after rebuild, fresh water cooled, new shaft, new strut, PSS dripless seal, Martec folding propeller, spare 2-blade propeller. Engines runs perfect and quiet.

Electronics - Raymarine a67 at helm, Raymarine C80 under dodger, 24 nm analog radar, SPX-5 autopilot, multiple (3) control heads, depth, speed, wind, Lowrance Link-8 VHF, SiriusXM weather, KVH 1000 precision racing compass (10 Hz), SEA-235 SSB radio, backstay antenna and tuner, Pactor III modem.

Comfort - teak interior in good shape, four golf cart batteries as house bank, Freedom inverter/charger with Link 2000 remote control, electric toilet, fresh/raw switchable, PVC from tank to throughull, microwave, built in LG automatic washing machine, 32" TV, Bluetooth stereo with cabin and cockpit speakers + subwoofer, diesel forced air heater, two water makers (75 gpd my design and 35 gpd Powersurvivor). Teak swimstep (add-on).

Numerous other improvements throughout, spares and tools. Most systems have spares including two steering wheels, two wheel pilots, two compasses, spare starter, alternator, etc. Bottom painted this week, survey completed last week (most comments were along the lines of expired flares and horn).

Specs: LOA: 31'4", LWL: 26'3", beam 10'11", draft 5'6", displacement: 9,700 lb (approximately 2,000 lb overweight at present due to all the stuff above), ballast 4,000 lb, headroom 6'3", hull speed 6.9 knots, PHRF rating 165 (with current folding prop), water tank 33 gallons, diesel tank 18 gallons.

If you are looking for a boat in Socal, please let me know. Delivery within reasonable radius available as well. More pics on the link below. Price is negotiable for CF members.
