Re: James Wharram dead at 93 at his own terms

Like most sailors, I was familiar with his designs and approved of the simplistic approach to a sophisticated problem. I was not at all familiar with his life otherwise. Now, having read the linked eulogy, I wish I had paid more attention! What an interesting man...

Fair winds, Sir, and a snug harbour when you reach the other shore.

Re: James Wharram dead at 93 at his own terms

An extraordinary, innovative, open minded and creative mind has left us.

Hats of to his decision to control his final fate himself.

RIP James

Re: James Wharram dead at 93 at his own terms

I put up a thread yesterday with this sad news:

https://www.cruisersforum.com/forums...-a-259025.html

(although somehow my title has been changed - do the mods know anything about this? have threads been merged? maybe this one can be merged there too, and the title fixed?)

He was definitely thought outside the box...boats and lifestyle.
