19 yr old Female looking to sail Costa Rica to US

I will be in Costa Rica starting in May and am looking to sail home to the United States instead of flying. Have limited experience with big boat and ocean sailing but am willing to learn and try new things! Have been sailing on smaller boats such as lasers and j-22's for many years. Spent some time on a 39 ft monohull in the British Virgin Islands. Am flexible, friendly and ready to learn! Feel free to contact me for anything

If you're mobile, you might have better luck in rio dulce, Guatemala. I'm not familiar at all with Costa Rica, but have a couple of friends who occasionally make the journey from Florida to Guatemala and back. (None right now though, unfortunately).

Be careful or is it a well phrased solicitation?

If you get an offer of a boat from Panama I can recommend the bus trip from St Jose. Cheap and you see the non-tourist bits. Unfortunately you have picked a bad time as May is the start of the hurricane season their. The southern route to Hawaii is still OK but storm risk along the coast north is starting to rise and people will tend to want to be in central Mexico before mid May. If planning an ocean leg it pays to look at something like Jimmy Cornell's ocean cruising guide to get an idea when people are likely to be doing a particular leg (if at all). You may get a delivery trip for that one but expect a tough ride not a holiday cruise
