We had good service and got a good price at Port Salerno Marine in Stuart. DIY or full service. Www.portsalernomarine.com

If your mast height allows you to cross via the Okeechobee Waterway it is probably as close as the Keys and it is an interesting trip.

Did you check Olsen's in Ft Myers? Proprietor is bit of a challenge, but reasonable price. Also Port Charlotte if draft permits.

Generally speaking, the further South you go in Florida the more expensive.

I live in Fort Lauderdale now but lived in Miami for 40 years and can attest to that. Marinas here only want to work on mega yachts and are priced accordingly.

If you really want the Keys check Marathon Resort and Marina. Great facilities and amenities.

Key largo marina has a haulout facility. Prices are decent. Not sure their monthly rate but they allow diy. Robbie, and 3d boat yards in key West used to have good pricing. Worth a call. We loved riverside heritage marine in FT pierce. Great place for why, and best welder around just make sure you only deal with Sally.

Re: Florida key boatyard $$$$prices$$$

I moved from San Francisco to St Pete 15-years ago, but used my 1970 Willard 36 trawler in SF. After 15-years of deferred maintenance, she's ready for a major refit. I considered shipping her to Florida where I was hopeful I could work a decent deal. After looking at several St Pete boatyards, my conclusion was the rates were not materially less than SF Bay Area. In the end, I brought my boat to Ensenada MX (70 nms south of San Diego). Given the amount of work I was having done, had I been in Florida, I would have looked at Isla Mujeres, MX. Decent access via Cancun Airport.

The cheapest boatyard is wherever you can get the work done the fastest and spend the least time.

I have the boat in key largo ( private property )and right now we are working on the motor .so far Punta Gorda is the cheapest but there are full. they give priority to their customers. The catamaran yard in key largo will send me prices Monday. they are under a new management

$0.70 cent per foot makes a difference I am planning to keep the boat in a yard for 2 /3 months

Hurricane cove marina in Miami let you DIY, hire their people, or other contractors that past mustard. Is close to me and the delta in price vs other yards not worth making the trip to them. I did used Playboy Marina in Ft Lauderdale and was able to do my own work. What is your draft and mast height?
