A long way off from bareboat- but going to Portugal!

Hi All-
I have a business trip planned to Portugal, so my girlfriend and I are taking some extra time. We're landlocked in Texas, so the opportunity to get some sailing experience in Portugal would be great!

We are not ready to charter a boat on our own, so we're looking for any sailing excursion companies in Portugal. We will have about 4 days on either side of the 9th and 10.

A quick google will yield plenty of crewed sailing charters in Portugal, but have you guys thought about taking an intro yachting course at a sailing school?

Not sure where you're staying, but I know there are schools offering intro to yachting and RYA certifications there. RYA certifications are pretty much analogous to ASA certifications in the US.

I should have posted our experience.

We have both taken ASA 101-104. We are taking a docking class in September. We are a little too busy so go on mile building vacations, but would like to squeeze in some sailing time while on this trip.

We considered an AYA class while in Portugal (so we'd be more qualified when looking for mile building opportunities) but really, we'd just like to get some time sailing.

Thanks, good idea. Neither of us have a log book to speak of. There's the dinky ASA log book for when we took the classes, so guess we'll stick with that.
