opencpn.org non-responsive

I am finding opencpn.org usable only occasionally. Much of the time I get a long wait followed by "no response". I have tried using Safari and Firefox - no difference.

Can anyone shed any light on what is going on? My guess I that the server is overloaded by mis-behaving users, not necessarily of opencpn.com if it is a shared server.

It is more a question of your internet connection and not a question of the browser you are using. Do a traceroute and send us the result here.

If I had to guess I would say your ISP is doing something to block the rest of the route. The web site works fine from the USA.

I took it up with my ISP (BT) and eventually registered a 'complaint' and got it elevated to their technical department. A week later they wanted to close the complaint and when I checked, I have access to the website back. SO they must have fixed it.
